an app for these forums?

Hey everyone is there an app to surf these forums or do they have any sort of mobile version? I want to easily be able to surf android forums on my atrix4g

There is an app for the forum. If you search "Phandroid" on the market it'll pop up. :D
 
Phandroid is official app for this forum anyway. It links to this forum only, and androidforums.com doesnt show up in Tapatalk if I try to search for it.
 
Tapatalk was disabled on the forums because of a security issue with tapatalk that wasn't being addressed by tapatalk, something I found out after I purchased tapatalk.

Phandroid is a very nice app, it works well. I wish you could customize PM ring tone though.
 
Does the Phandroid app still run in the background, even if that has been turned off by the user?
 
Nope. It wont even work if you press home button. At least on my phone it doesnt. If I press home button, and do something else, Phandroid stops connection and brings me back to splash page when I try to open it again.
 
Maybe I wasn't more clear: I'm referring to the fact that, when I used it a while back, it stayed on as a "running service" despite the fact that I had it set to only update manually. Does that behavior continue?
 
That's why I gave up on it a long time ago. Hopefully, some day, it'll get fixed.
 
But that's my point: when I have used the phandroid app, I don't get that response. It continues to run.

This behavior is extremely annoying for me - I use task switcher to 'alt+tab' between running apps. Each time I come back to phandroid, i've lost my place in the forums. Particularly frustrating when I wanna check something I've read about using a browser or the market app.

Unfortunately I'm back to using the website now. The least they could do is install a mobile skin.

Yes, I liked this feature to hold my place in forum while apps switching.
Some time ago, the Phandroid app had this feature.

At the web browser the forum has a mobile skin (go to the bottem of the page, left corner, to switch to 'AF Mobile'), but I think it's even worse.

The last time I had the Phandroid app installed, there wasn't a way to mark a forum as read. Is that still the case?
