An app to get rid of yellowish tint

I found an app that is supposed to minimize the yellow tint that displays instead of white, it is called "Screen Adjuster," which allows you to control RGB settings. To get rid of the yellow you should add the opposite color which is purple, made up of red and blue and the yellow tint should go away.

Can someone with a Note2 test this out?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netmanslab.sa&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5uZXRtYW5zbGFiLnNhIl0.

The link does not seem to be working, just search for screen adjuster in Google Play.

Thanks!

I'd love to help you out but I have no idea what yellow tint you're talking about.

I used it on my Note, as I found the contrast to high. To get a similar effect on the Note 2, you could just change the display mode to "Standard", or "movie", etc.

When viewing anything that should be white, it has a yellowish tint to it. It is much more obvious when comparing with another phone like an iPhone or an HTC phone. It has something to do with the way the AMOLED displays color. For me, this is the only possible complaint I can think of with the phone, along with the oversaturated colors that can be fixed with different modes.

I'm hoping that this app I found can help to minimize it....

Thanks!

Dont use the old Note or S3 display characteristics as any meaningful baseline to judge the Note 2's display.

I do not see any yellow tint, and remember Note 2 has four Display Screen mode settings

Most sites say "Movie" mode on the Note 2 renders balanced color space - but its subject to taste.

The biggest issue is that out of the box, the Note 2 Display defaults with Auto-Brightness enabled, thus a few complain the Note 2 display looks "dim"

Fix this by deselecting Display Brightness "Auto" - and then adjust the Display Brightness slider to taste - the Note 2 can gets every bit as bright and White as my old iPhone 4 !

I've received my N2 today. Compared to my SG i9000 (using the same settings) the whites are indeed dull with a yellow/beige tint.
The headphone jack is very tight too.
Looks like it may need to go back.

You're the first person I've heard of complaining something is to tight. Doesn't seem like a deal breaker to me. :D

HAHA, it's usually something Id jump for joy about.
I don't wish to stray off topic but has anyone else noticed the headphone jack being so tight you have to really apply pressure to get the phones in?
Anyway, let's hope the replacement is all good because it's a lovely phone.

Comparison the the SG1. Both on full brightness, N2 with vivid display.

have u got the power saving/screen feature turned on? i don't think it makes for that color, but it's something to check, anyway, as I see u are in a browser, which is affected by power saving/screen. i use power saving, but only for the CPU.
