an idea venture

Okay so I deleted my stock rom backup I thought I had a backup on my pc but I didnt . I was thinking that if someone can post there backup for me to download couldn't I install it to my phone? I can't install the stock rom either I get an error 7.

I just wanted to see if it worked because i have no stock rom for this phone. the one on the forums won't install error 7. i can only get hades to install and DRAndroid to install

i believe i have a copy of the stock rom. ill rebuild it just in case there is a bug causing the error, cuz u arent the only one ive heard say that. ill upload later tonight when i get off work.

i believe the issue is with the updater-script for some reason. running em thru another build process seems to fix the status 7 errors for some people, and i believe that im the only one in this forum releasing roms that are being truly rebuilt that way. theres nothing wrong with the stock rom, the issue is with ur phone. ive heard other people getting the same error 7s with any rom besides the ones i have built and released (hades and drandroid). so, i should b able to have the stock rom for u, no problem. granted, the stock rom is still rooted, so if u r trying to go back to 100% stock, ur gonna need to reflash the original recovery.img and unroot after flashiing my stock rom.

both hades and drandroid are my builds, so i must b doin SOMETHING right! ;-)

I'd have to say so, I remember saying exact same thing in the past & you said that had nothing to do with it Drac.

Side note: I have used a CWMr backup on a different phone & it worked perfectly

idk. i used the adb method of CWM installation, and it seemed to be, when i was attempting to use the original version of the stock rom posted by leslie i had some issues, nothing to severe, BUT, one big issue i had was that the power on button always froze me up, like the screen would shut off, and the button would not work, i would go to a different rom, and have other issues, but, never the less, i got a new phone, and am just waiting patiently for a certain updated OC rom to come out ;)

lol... hint hint... im pickin up what ur layin down! lol. what stock rom by jeni r u talking about? jeni never released a stock rom. the only thing jeni has released was hades, which we collab'd on together. i released a modified stock rom recently, but the original stock rom came from leslie ann. what r u talking about with the power button freezing it up? which rom?

my mistake, i ment to put leslie, i was reading jeni's text when i typed it,
and the stock rom was doing it, the original. i dont know why. im def going to back up my backup onto my pc so i have it this time.
like, i mean, i have no idea why, but the longer i had that phone, the more problems i encountered. everything from phone freezing during phone calls forcing a battery removal, to screen going black during phone call's(which usually happens) except it would turn on at all, even at call's disconnect from other end thus forcing a battery removal.
i tried every rom, always encountered issues, some serious, some not so serious. for instance, i mentioned, that your OC rom froze my phone ALL the time, every-time the phone would sit at the 700+ mhz for any length of time, the screen froze, forceing a battery takeout & power discharge(pressing power button while battery is out) in order to get it somewhat functional again...eh.
just eh.
im not worried about it, im assuming it was just a garbage phone. and hope this one is better.

ya, well, with the issues with the camera and all, i think i might have gotten some of the voltages wrong in my kernel. im working on the kernel right now. im gonna see how it goes using the stock OC freqs from a factory 800mhz OC of our board.

good luck!

oh and i was thinking? was that for a different version of android @ those voltages?
maybe we are missing something like. they used 2.2.2 instead of 2.3.5.....you know what i mean, i hope

ya, i just used some incorrect voltage/frequency combos. i rebuilt another kernel, and the camera worked. the stock freqs dont have enough steps tho. it jumps from 480000 to 800000 in one jump, and it immediately locks up at 800000. i found another frequency table for our board tho that looks promising. i am compiling the kernel again as we speak. at least i kno the CAUSE of the camera issue now. the voltages i was using on the current kernel were too low at the higher frequencies tho, so theres a good chance that once i get this kernel configured properly (crossin my fingers that it will b the build im doing right now!), it will be significally faster than my last OC kernel. i basically had it overclocked, but had it also significally undervolted at higher frequencies too (which was an accident). so, im sure the lack of proper voltage was robbing us of quite a bit of speed as well. keep ur eyes peeled! if this build works correctly, i should have a new kernel posted in the next couple hours or so! if it didnt work like i wanted, ill still post my progress tho, so u kno where it stands.
