Root Analyze data connection logs?

Hi guys, is there any way I can see logs or records on my LG Volt that shows some specifics of what is happening when my phone tries to connect to Data? After flashing my phone to another provider, the Data connection will not work. I would manually tweak settings, but with no logs or info at all to indicate what might be wrong, I have nowhere to start. Surely there is a log file somewhere on the phone where I can see what is happening, and failing, when the phone reaches out for a Data connection?

Sorry if this is not the best subforum for this post, but the phone is an LG Volt and it is rooted, so I thought this may be best.

Thanks.

I've never had to do this personally on the Volt, although, I do know (on some phones) Anycut can create a shortcut to the APN menu, even if its not available by default. Worth looking into.

Others should be able to give better details on this for this specific model.

EDIT

I had to do it by this method on my mothers HTC Evo and Samsung Prevail when converting from Sprint/Verizon to Boost for her.

Even tho the phones had the phones had an APN menu in settings, the new APNs wouldn't stick until I did it via Anycut shortcuts for some very strange reason.

I've had no luck with any of those methods. I finally am able to SEE the APN menu because I installed an app called "Change APN" from the Google Play. However, nothing I enter will SAVE. It just disappears on save attempt.

I tried "Anycut" as recommended above, but it has hundreds of shortcuts it can add, and every one I tried that referenced APN or Data just says "Application is not installed." when I try the shortcut.

Why would I even need to edit the APN settings anyway? Can't I just enter all the same settings by dialing ##DATA#? Why do the settings need to be set up in the APN section instead of as the phone's main data profile?

I'm really confused as to why this full flash is not functioning correctly, and I can't believe there is no way to look at logs and see where the error(s) are occurring. Surely there's some dev way of view the data connection attempt to diagnose where things are failing?

Donload file explorer from the play store
Open the app and go to the settings
Enable root explorer
Mount system folders
Navigate to device root
System
Ect
And find apn.conf
Add apropriate apn settings as needed
