Andoid Forums app not working on phone

I have a Moto razr M, and I've downloaded the Android Forums app from Play, but all it does is open to the blue title screen and stay there.

I notice there's also a 'phandroid' app. Should I get that instead?

The phandroid logo for the app is like the one on this page but different font and zoomed in, mirrored picture.

On the subject, what is phandroid? Is that just another name for this site? Clicking on it leads to androidforums, it's all a bit confusing for my feeble mind.

It's not you - the site owner has gone around a few times with how that all works.

The Phandroid app you found is our old app - it was make to access the news site and the forum.

It's no longer supported but it is pretty cool despite using more battery than our newer app. I believe it's missing newer features like our Like button.

Is it possible that you have had a bad installation?

Maybe uninstall the new one and re-install it to see.

If it doesn't work, try the old Phandroid app.

Thanks EarlyMon, on the second reinstall Android Forums came good. Nicely set out too, plain and simple like a good smartphone version of something should be.

Ah-HA! I'd been using the old version for quite some time, and had been wondering when it was going to get updates. Never knew you guys just moved on to a brand-new app. Thanks for the info, EarlyMon.
