Since the Android market has been updated I can no longer tell in what currency I am going to be charged for apps. There used to be ~ in front of the price if it was different to

I had a 1969 blue one. Loved it. Couldn't get parts.

I ran into Amazon's (UK) currency when I tried to send my son-in-law a gift certificate.

Amazon doesn't give a currency conversion for gift certificates. I got the receipt in pounds. Regular mdse does get a conversion.

Which market are you buying from? I got a big song and dance about copyright and intellectual property from Barnes and Noble about American stuff and the UK. They won't let her buy a book or register the device - but she is using an American credit card, which they require. Can you buy apps from wherever?

I did get Skype from Nokia Asia. Nokia USA told me I couldn't have it. No currency, it was free.
