My phone is stuck on the start screen cannot get the screen to open. I have removed battery and all the usual any ideas

Do you mean the PCD Chaser? If so you can try a factory reset.
WARNING!!! THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR APPS/DATA/ETC.
1. Turn the device off, Then press and hold VOLUME DOWN & POWER
2. It should show a screen with the Android logo and an exclamation mark
3. Press the BACK key to bring up the list of options
4. Use volume down to scroll and navigate to WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
5. Press the MENU key to select it
6. Wait for it to finish. Now select REBOOT NOW
