Root Android 2.1 or 2.2 on SF

Hi there,
I am lookng to buy a SF but would appreciate some help with what to get. On ebay I can get SF unlocked & Orange apps removed but not sure whether to go for Android 2.2 or 2.1 ? I hear that 2.2 is faster but also hear that it's not 100% stable. Should I still go for the 2.2 or stick with the more stable 2.1 version?. I would prefer to have a faster version but only if it's usable.

I know it's quite cheap to get it unlock but won't have a clue on how to remove the Orange apps as I am new to all this hence thinking of getting it on ebay so that it's done for me.

Hi,
The answer to your question is it doesn't matter which version of ROM you have because you can change it to a number of different variations fairly easily.

The thing to look out for is does it have an OLE or TFT screen.

FYI, I'm about 3 weeks in to my SF which is my first Android phone.
