Root Android 2.2.1 Root log

So... As of this date (27-March-2011) there is no root for 2.2.1
**2.3 due soon)...

Anyone who has or can provide all of us with a method for rooting HTC Desire HD would be gratefully appreciated...

If connection via computer if required, please state PC or MAC (PC Prefered)

Appreciate a step by step procedure...

You need to downgrade to 2.2 to be able to root.
