Help Android 2.2 Upgrade Failure

Hi all,
I have been trying to run the Android OS 2.2 upgrade in Kies Mini, as outlined on the USCC and Samsung websites but I keep getting an error (see image attached). I have done a factory data reset and the issue is of yet not resolved.
Any advice or pointers would be largely appreciated.

Try taking out the battery, plugging in the phone, and once recognized, inserting the battery.

The other alternative would be to take it into a store with a tech. They have a different upgrade method from Kies Mini.

Thanks for the tips. I've done that already. A bunch of times, actually.
I am thinking that perhaps it is timing out on the update download, since it re-downloads the files every time you run it, as opposed to just saving the files in a temp folder. I will probably take it in to the local USCC shop. They are usually pretty nice there. Thanks again.
