Android 4.0 tablet - load photoshop3??

Hi
I am all new to this tablet hardware. I have a PC with Photoshop 3 which I use all the time for photos. If I purchase a tablet with Android 4.0, can I run my Photoshop 3 on it?? Looking for something that is small for travelling, with 10" screen and min 1280 x 800 resolution.
(please keep it simple as I'm one of those, who has no interest in the workings!!!!)
Looking forward to hearing from you, from across the pond, Chrissie

Nope. Windows programs cannot run on ARM-based processor devices, or on a different OS. That basically includes all Android tablets and iPads. Windows 8 RT tablets also cannot run it, only Windows 8 Pro tablets. Just like how Photoshop for Windows won't work on a Mac, you need to look for the specific Photoshop for Mac.

However, Photoshop for Android is available for Tablets and you can buy it from the Google Play Store. It will not be exactly the same as Photoshop 3 though. I have no idea what the differences will be, since I started using Photoshop at Photoshop 5. :D

Here, check the app out.

Thanks for that. Had a bad feeling would have to learn all over again!! will look on some of the software sites and apps to see what I can find before making the plunge. Thanks again. Chrissie

Cruisensnooze:

Check for final resolution prior to doing anything important with any program you choose. Photoshop and every other program I've tried except "PhotoEnhance" used to output a final image a fraction of the size of the original image. I just glanced at the Photoshop page and it looks like they may have fixed that aspect.

Good luck with your decision!

It's not a good idea to want to edit your photos on a small 10" screen with your big clumsy fingers for a cursor anyway, Chrissie. Tablets are not (suitable for) data production devices, they are rather data consumption devices.
If editing photos is important to you, then you want the biggest screen possible, the most accurate, precise cursor, the widest range of tools, and a whopper of a processor to crunch it all.

So that's a fullsize PC or Mac! Not a tablet.

But if you insist on using both your tablet and Photoshop 3 at the same time anyway you may want to try free Teamviewer to remotely operate and run everything on your PC or Mac from your tablet, wherever you are.
