Help Android 4.2.2 Memory issues

Hello S3 users,

i recently downloaded the leaked version of android 4.2.2 and flashed it to my S3. This new firmware is really amazing but after 10 hours of use, the used RAM jumps to the max (828 mb) and then android's memory manager starts to close and restart each app without the ability to store any in the cache. Even if i manually stop most of the services the phone keeps lagging and every app keeps restarting. I know there's a memory leak in this version but does anyone figured out a solution other than downgrading or restarting the phone each time ?

thx

I was using this ROM but have gone back to 4.1.2 as Bluetooth audio was breaking up all the time.

I didn't have any real memory problems (unless the Bluetooth issue was memory related).

I use two apps which may help. Greenify which allows you to hibernate any background apps that are not really used and Fast Reboot which I've set to do a reboot all running apps each time the screen goes off.

Wonder if the international s3's are gona have problems running samsung's 4.2.2 because its so bloated?
I found a rom based on the samsung leak to be really laggy but the AOKP version im using flys

If you installed the leak(s) you need to ensure that you wipe fully, i.e. system, data, cache, dalvik cache, preload, in fact I'd recommend to also wipe the SD card (the internal one) saving any date before hand. I have rund the Sotmax version for a week without any real lag or problems, but battery is a big issue.

I had the same issue on my i9300. Phone comes to a massive crawl. I noticed that it usually happened with chrome rub running although it's memory usage was low. Reverted back to 4.1.2 myself now.

And I did not just wipe but completely erased internal SD so it didn't even have an OS on it.

Tbh i dont even know any of the android features added with 4.2 (user based anyway) that i use use but it feels good

Ran the previous leak from day 1 with no issues, updated to this yesterday and all seems well.
