Root Android 4.4.4 Build B14

systemg33k

Lurker
After the OTA update I have Build B14 now. I haven't rooted or installed a custom ROM so far on my phone.

So I was wondering do I do a factory reset to get rid of the B14 and it'll downgrade to B13 so I can root and install custom ROM? Or someone has to test out B14?

factory reset will not get 'rid' of b14. that is your firmware now. you are stuck with it unless you root and change it.

you can likely use ringroot to root but dont neglect how lengthy of a process it is. it has taken me a hundred tries before.

[EDIT] Last post answered most my questions.

I can still flash to B06 while on B14 after root, correct?

By ringroot do you mean kingroot or ringroot. I'd like to root zte zmax on b14 firmware, will it brick it?
