Android 4.4 update for Xperia Z

when is the android 4.4 kitkat update be rolled out in india for xperia z.. any idea guys?

No idea, as Sony don't communicate exact timescales. All they've confirmed is that the Z will receive an update to 4.4.x sometime this year, but as it's rolling out to the Z1 now it's probably not too far away.

New Sony software upgrade, including Android 4.4; KitKat, rolls for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z | Sony Smartphones



As usual no specific timescale for the deployment is given, so the best advice is to check OTA, PC Companion and/or SUS regularly.

I live in Denmark. I got a message via Sony PC Companion when I turned on my computer that morning, telling me that there was an update.

The update came out yesterday in my country (PH). Installed the update via OTA.

After the update, I immediately ran into a slight problem ("android.process.acore has stopped"). The error pops up every time the phone is restarted.

Following the advice of some people having the same issue, I removed and reinstalled the Facebook app. Problem fixed.

The update is now live via PC Companion for generic UK devices (1270-7689), completing the UK rollout.
