Android 5.1 coming to the Z

Sony have just announced that the entire Z series, including the now 2 year old Z is getting Android 5.1 starting from July.

I imagine we'll be at the back of the queue again, but the support for this device by Sony has amazed me. Over 2 years after release and they're still keeping it up to date.
 
I had to re-read their Twitter post a few times to convince myself - I really didn't expect support to continue past 5.0.x. :)

Me too! I expected maybe a couple of bug fix releases for 5.0.2 at most and that would be that. :)
 
It began rolling out to the Z3/Z2 range on July 21st, but there's no ETA for the original Z other than this quote:

Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra are next up, starting over the coming weeks – followed shortly thereafter by Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, then the original Xperia Z Series…
