Help Android 6 update

I updated my A7 to marshmallow from lollipop and now it takes so long to detect wifi. It used to do it faster. Anyone else having this problem?

Both of my two devices with Marshmallow detect wifi fairly fast.

Are there many wifi networks around you? If it's the case, you may want to instruct the phone to only look for networks with good signal quality to reduce scan time.

The network to which I have a password is only one, it's supposed to connect automatically when I am around. It used to with lollipop, but now I have to keep turning on and off for a while. Sometimes I even have to restart the phone!

This could be a device specific issue, maybe someone with the same device would chime in.

Sometimes problem can fix itself after a while too.

The best you could try now is to remove your current wifi network from the list and add it back manually. It worked for me on some of my old devices.
