Help Android 7 uncloseable 25% power popup

Ok so I have a Samsung galaxy s6 that I very recently updated to android 7.

Loving the new os, aside from the Do not disturb no sound thing another forum member started a thread about, and this popup.

I have looked EVERYWHERE in my settings to try and get this thing to stop appearing. Adjusting the settings to what it wants has no effect. This wouldn't be a problem if I could easily close it, but It will literally never go away unless I plug in my phone to charge.

This is a major issue that I need fixed asap, as this popup completely obscures my phone screen, making it unusable.

Please tell me I am not the only one having this issue????

I wonder if that's the OS showing the pop up. Because Android warns when you reach 15%. Do you have a "battery saver'' type of app? Maybe it's the app doing that?

(But I haven't used Android 7, so I'm not sure...)

It has to be the OS. I don't have any power saver apps, I've fully disabled all power notifications except the ones I can't turn off.

I never had this problem on any if the previous android versions.

i don't know now to stop it happening but if you restart your phone it disappears (note you have to hold the volume and power buttons down for 7 seconds as you cant press the power off button). i have found that it only really happens when you reach 25% and in landscape rotation eg watching youtube

I get this too it's mega annoying. Seems to be a new feature with the recent auto upgrade. Did you find a fix other than rebooting?

Sounds like something specific to this Samsung phone and their update. If they'd change it or not, don't know. Might be worth you contacting them about it.

My Oppo does a reminder notification at 20%, which can just dismiss, then another at 10%, and again can just dismiss, and then nothing until the battery actually runs out.
