Android AES (256) capabilities

Hi guys,

do you know whether Android 2.2 allows encryption files by AES-256?

In Android Snippets: Encrypt/Decrypt Strings I found that
" kgen.init(128, sr); // 192 and 256 bits may not be available ".

How can I be sure 256 keys are supported?

Thanks but APG doesn't look like what I want. I want to be able to decrypt text files on my droid that have been encrypted on my linux desktop with a command like:

openssl enc -aes-256-cbc -salt -in file.txt -out file.aes

I found a program called "Droid Crypt" that claims to do that but it doesn't seem to.

I've developed an app which is fully compatible with OpenSSL's aes-256-cbc encryption engine (http://crnote.com); well it only uses this particular engine code for the first release. It's just been submitted to the app-market. If you have any questions, shoot them over to me.
