HI, I am new here and just wanted to say hello to the group, I am not here to advertise or spam the forums, But I am here to request other app developers for incite and ideas to add to my project, I created my first android app because I wanted a clean way to download music with out ads on my phone and I also wanted it to be very easy, so that's why I created Mycell Rocks. I ended up thinking it would be cool to have my own personal station to go along with it, so I added that feature as well, now I am thinking it would be cool to have a theme system so each user can have a unique look to their station.

I haven't posted my app on Google play yet because I wanted feed back first and I still want to test the features.
So let me get to the point if any of you are willing to give me some incite on my project please do and let me know what you think, it is my first app so I'm not the best with it yet, but I did try!

The app is not verified because I haven't posted it to google play yet, I'm still learning I am not really sure how to do it yet. But that's ok because I still need feedback of thoughts and if its even worthy to be added to the play store! Please consider taking the time to check it out.

Here are a few previews of what it looks like!

Updated the MyCell.apk Needed to add video playback in webview!

Hope your app is efficient in downloading and clean as u say.
And "YES" I would love to try it.
Good luck new app:cool:developer.

Well Here's what I made it do, It search's YouTube with the API for the videos, then send the video to a processing center to convert then has a call back once complete, you will see the loading spinner with the call back, it then stores the information in MySQL table for each user, where the files converted are located for easy download. if you download one song it then adds to your personal stations database table where each user can have a station and just tell a friend their stations name and number mine is TGIV 628.629 located here https://www.mycell.rocks?uid=1
and if I wanted to share a song to twitter or facebook I could just do https://www.mycell.rocks?uid=1&sid=10
uid is the users ID and sid is the Song ID on my stations channel. In time ill add more to it to search stations and follow stations. but it just takes time, I really just made it to get music for my device because I could not find one that wasn't full of ads! or supper slow.

Wow that's a very nice looking and professional app. Well done!
One comment I have on the UI design - when you search for a song you present them in a horizontally scrolling list at the bottom of the screen. There's a lot of blank space, plus I would find it a bit cumbersome to scroll through this list, seeing only 2 or 3 items at once. Could you maybe have a vertically scrolling list, showing a lot more items at any one time?
Just my view of course.

P.S. I would be happy to test your app if you want to add me to your beta test list. PM me if interested.

I was thinking that as a playlist for all the music that was already stored on your station but the reason I did it the way I did it because when you hit the search field on my device it pulls up my keypad and pushs up the search results and I made it single view because I wanted it big so I could just swipe through. have big thumbs small screen! See here is preview of what I am trying to say!

Sorry had to login with my phone

I would separate out the search functionality into a sub activity, and use the parent activity to display the results. I've built a similar app myself, using this architecture and it works well.

I am not pron to to test new apps, but I found your app on Facebook that led me hear earlier today and I tested it. Dude you did a great job, its impressive and very easy to use. Thumbs up brother! Keep up the good work!
