Android App Library - Unable to Delete Unused Apps

John P

Well-Known Member
I haven't noticed before now (Just bought a new phone) that I have loads of apps in my app library that are not installed on any of my devices and I am unable to delete them from my app library.

Some are free, some are paid, put I have not used them for ages and I would like to get rid of them as when im installing apps onto a new device its a right pain to go through hundreds of previously installed apps to find the few that I actually want.

I have googled the issue and looked through the forum and see that others also find this annoying, but I just wondered if anybody has been able to do this yet, as many of the threads I have read are quite old.

Thanks :)

Unfortunately there's no way to remove these at this time. Unless something's changed in the last week or so.

Instead of using the library, here's a few other options for conveniently installing all your apps on your latest device:

1. Keep a folder in your computer's web browser full of the apps you actually use. In Opera you can open the whole folder in tabs at once, even.

2. Use an app list app. ShareMyApps sends a convenient email full of names and URLs of installed apps.

3. Backup your APKs then just slap them on the new device's SD card and install from there.
