Please note that this guide is under construction. If you want an application/category added, just post below!

-reserved for games-

Have a bunny:

bunny11.jpg

Listables* - for making app-list like this that have QR codes and market links ;) and for sharing music and contacts and photos over bluetooth

Actually here's my list using my own app to create it:

IMDb

audiogalaxy- to stream music library from comp to phone
widgetsoid- HELLA widget customization
joystiq/engadget/phandroid apps- for obvious reasons

These are just my personal takes! So feel free to add.
You're missing ChompSMS (free or donate) for messaging, and Go SMS (free)
launcher you're also missing Go Launcher (free)
browser you're missing Opera mini(free)
music you're missing mixzing(donate or free)
keyboard you're missing keypurr (paid)

And under handy tools I'd say you're missing "How to tie a tie" :P Since it's cool to switch it up daily!

Listables is really cool, I'd use it for this if I didn't have to buy every single app in the guide just to do so :p

Updated 24/1/10, need more suggestions, particularly widgets - I don't use many. Also I'd like to do the games sections soon, but again, I don't have many... SUGGEST NAOW!
