thanks for your valuable posts.

 So following are the thing to do with newly bought A70 as per your combined posts:

1)Root the phone with Z4ROOT
2)Remove MiRoamer, Saavan and email (Unwanted application)!! Get Gmail from market... Opera for browsing and Ucweb for fast browsing and super fast downloads. Get go keyboard with I phone theme. Install Power Amp for Music.
3)Move applications to SD CARD(app2SD)

4)Get 91 PC SUITE
5)Try the V6 supercharger script, but make a backup of the phone using clockworkmod recovery(or titanium Backup) first as these scripts sometimes lead to system instability.


Plz let me know if i am correct or not! :rolleyes:

the lockscreen is not as smooth as the default android lockscreen and nowhere as smooth as compared to an actual iphone..id rather use the default one to save up some RAM :P
 
Hi subro,
I tried 2 root my phone with latest z4root with 1click bt in vain.
Alsp plz tell how to connect internet with 91pc suite
:confused:
 
How did you came to know that z4root has failed? Any Error Message ?

You don't need 91 PC Suite or any other software to access the internet on pc using the phone. You just need to enable USB Tethering in Settings.
 
Thanks for the info bro, internet is working fine now. Amazing yaar as all other handsets need to install their PC suits and this is JUST A CLICK & U GO..

As for Z4ROOT.. it is installed but i am not able to remove applications. The things i want to do are:

1) Remove unwanted applications.
2) Install applications in space of 1GB by partitioning of 8GB memory card,
3) Remove the shutter sound of camera which is annoying,
4) Install Games in a separate folder,
5) Not able to download apps from market; showing "no phone is
associated with log in account".
6) I am following the tips for battery but still is there anything that can increase
the batter life?

I know i am asking more as i don't have that much knowledge of ANDROID..
But again i want to say that "ANDROID IS COOL THAN SYMBIAN, I-OS"

Well, every android(2.2 n above) phone has this feature.(dont know abt other smartphones). The PC Suite is like "an easy too use interface + drivers". It is the drivers that are the most important.

For your problem related to market :
Log on to http://market.android.com
Click on My Account
Click on Recovering Password
Enter password (to validate it
 
Hi all,

Will anybody please tell me how to root A70?
I had tried ti root with z4root.1.3.0 which has a option root in single click,
but i did not get the system level access.
Also i tried to root with another versions but A70 is not able to identify it in recovery mod(by pressing volume down & power button)

Please give details procedure how to root and how to remove unwanted pr-installed apps. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Z4root should work, click on root and it should go on about a procedure and ur phone will reboot..

If you want to uninstall stock apps, u will need something like Titanium backup pro.. just google it and install it ..
Be careful though.. Do not uninstall core android applications or you will be in trouble
But you can uninstall the micromax crap like Miroamer, Saavn, Newshunt, netquin AV and mobile guard to free up some memory and Ram

I downloaded an application called ADVANCED CAMERA LITE today from Market.
Surprisingly it is far better than the default loaded camera application. The pictures are far brighter & clear. But it wont let you set camera to 5 Mp as you have to buy it for that. You can set camera to 3.2 Mp & not more than that.

Any idea if we all can get any camera app like such for free?

Hi,

How to remove the default apps as even after rooting, as a super user, am unable to see any uninstall tab on any default apps. Should I go to terminal session and check and if so what command to use from which location to remove apps.

Use Titanium Backup App or any other app with similar functionality
 
Check out Iris.. it is Siri for android .. although its still in Alpha stage..

Its created by Dexetra, a cochin based Mobile app company here in india
 
Hi All,

can anybody provide me d stock ROM(deafult which came pre-installed) and the procedures to install it.
Before it i want to take back up of my EXT3 partition on my memory card.
