Help Android Application to play a specific video

Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to have a specific video as an "application" on android. Not a video player but just the video itself. When clicked on the application it plays the video file.

A video is just a media file but you should be able to play the file immediately if you tap it. The first time you try you may be prompted to choose an app to open it with. If you select always you wont have to repeat the process. Is that what you are trying todo?

Create a shortcut to the video file on your desktop/homescreen. It would appear as an icon there.
