Hi, i am looking to sell my laptop and get the new asus transformer pad infinity when it comes out, i have a samsung galaxy s2 so i am used to the usual market and using android.

I have a few questions though if anyone can help?

1. is the apps market the same, ie is it the same place i would go to as on my phone, and do i get the same results, or only results for apps that wprk on tablet?

2. if not all apps do work, how many? is it on par with ipad or if it a worrying number, as in its not got much? i would really like to be able to use all the same apps i use on my phone, i use dolphin browser on my s2, does that work on tablet?

3. via the usb port, am i able to plug in an external hard drive and back up files (pics / videos) onto it easily?

not sure anything else i need to know, it feels like a big move, only because im worried there maybe something i do easily on my laptop that i may not be able to on a tablet.

i download from the net a lot (usenet etc) ive read that you can get use net readersand apps to dowload nzb's, does anyone know if thats right and if its easy?

thanks for any help, i will be happy once i know the answers to the above.

I can help a little bit.
Same place for apps, Play Store.
Not all apps will work on a tablet like they do on a phone. Seems most apps
were/are developed for phones, and need to be ported over to tablets.
Many more phones than tablets=more apps for phones than tablets.
Once you've logged in and registered your device, when you click on an app
you're interesed in, the page will show if the app is compatible with your device.
I get more compatibles than incompatibles.
But there are plenty of apps that work fine on tablets; depends on what you want
to use the tablet for.
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I use it strictly for fun, and fun it is.
Love the thing.
I'd suggest browsing the Play Store to get an idea of what they have, and see if they'll
do what you need.
I also use the Dolphin browser, and it runs great on my tab.

Any apps that you bought previously are attached to your email address. as long as you use that email address again for the tablet all those paid apps can be downloaded again no change. they will also share all your contacts and such too.

most apps work. just a difference in screen size and that makes very little difference to a developer.
