Android auto

I am having problems staying connected to my car. Phone connects, it shows map on car screen. I can view apps. After about 2 minutes it disconnects. I have tried a few different cables. Phone is LG g7 thinq.

What car stereo do you have? Do you have to use cables? Does the head unit not have Bluetooth?

Android Auto is at best, crap and always has been. Ditch it and move on

Ditch it and move on to what? I have looked about and it seems that Android 12 is not compatible with Android Auto. What app do you use to mirror to car screen?

Hey, I get it and it's frustrating, but I stay away from Android auto because of its constant problems. Really not worth the headache. Alternatives?
Waze works like a charm but not sure if it's going to do what you are looking for.
