I used Easy Battery Save for months. Never did any comparisons to see if it actually worked, just figured it did. Then I read through this thread, and decided that I really don't need one. :smokingsomb:

When I saw so many people say you don't need one, I thought I should just abandon battery saver apps. Later I decided to test one and it seems like it is working really well. Hopefully I won't need one after I undervolt.

I left my phone on last night, and had just finished charging it when i went to bed. When I got up (about 8 hours later) it said 90 percent. That's AMAZING for my phone. Usually it would discharge by at least half in that time, if not more. Juice Defender is working for me. :)

How fast your battery charges to 100% depends on the quality of your battery. I have a new Anker 4500 extended battery, and it can go from 5% to 100% in three to four hours. My stock battery (for Samsung Galaxy S3) has a much lower capacity but took longer to reach full charge. And those Gorilla Gadgets, Anker, etc., high-quality batteries hold charges for a long time, i.e., they discharge very slowly when I am not using my phone.

(They were a pain to discharge to 0% when I wanted to condition them the first time I used them. i.e., the first time you use a new battery, you are supposed to break in the battery and let it discharge to 0%)

I had bought cheap replacement batteries from eBay, those off-brand made-in- China cheap craps, which took forever to reach full charge. And they can't hold charges for long, i.e., they lost charge very quickly even when my phone was idle.

I'm trying Battery Saver+Switch Widget and it's OK. There is one error where it won't request root access so I cannot use the CPU control(Probably why I am not seeing much saving). The UI is great and the switch widget looks EPIC. I really like the onekey thingy to find battery draining stuff and the optimize button. You can also create your own profiles. I rate it a 9/10 (Considering that CPU control does not work.

By the way, I know it has a lower rating than Easy Battery Saver but they must of made huge improvements, the newest comments give the app 5 stars.
