Help android beam

am trying to move apps from my nexus 7 to my nexus 9 using android beam like touching the tablets back to back . cannot git it to work . has anybody tried that method

You can only get the Play Store to open up to that app's page on the other phone. You can't use it to sideload apps.

I moved this to the Nexus 9 forum. I also removed a few duplicate posts in an old thread.

I just re-download them every time I'm setting up a device (they usually auto install once I sign in anyway)

When you set up your nexus 9, you should get a popup asking if you want to restore apps. It'll have a list of devices and times. Pick one and it'll have you set right up. When I factory reset my n9, it'll even put everything back on my home screen in the right place.
