Android box help!

Hi All,
I got a Android box ( pre assembaled on andriod 4.4 ) from China and it has it's own firmware... so it has it's own made apps...

Anyway I just want to know how i would make this into a basic Android box that I would be able to download google play and build a system on my own, or if there is a decent API that I can upload that has a decent interface with aps on it?

Please help here as i'm sure people who buy stuff from China deal with this and need to put in thier own API for interface
 
The box is Hybroad Vision - runs on Android but doesn't have a good interface and I want it for MOvies and shows and netfilx -please I don't care to break this thing lol , i just want a good looking user interfact so when it boots up it looks nice and shows my apps
 
Are you asking for help developing for this box, or do you just want something you can flash to it? If you are developing for it, I can move this thread to the Android Development forum, where more experienced eyes can see your issue and respond. If you're looking for firmware that is already written, then I can't help you because (to my knowledge) there is no stock Android TV ROM out there for you to flash. Every Android TV device is hardware-specific, so a different custom ROM would have to be written to each model.
 
Usually these things have Kodi(formerly XBMC) on them, basically plug-in the internet and TV, and you stream, that's it. Often can play local media as well, either from SD or USB.

Well I'm looking for a APK file that would pretty much change the whole look of the user interface.... i just want the box to load up with English aps and KODI and netflix things like that - is there a simple way to change the User Interact with a file?

also it doesn't have google play installed on it, I'm assuming i would just have install it via apk?
 
Should be able to sideload Kodi straight from their website.
http://kodi.tv/download/

For Google Play, basically has to be rooted and an appropriate Gapps package flashed, if that's actually possible for this particular device.

I think Netflix has to come via Google Play, although don't know for sure as it's not available.

Most of these Chinese boxes I've seen just run Kodi and that's it.
