I cannot directly help you because I don't have a Android box, but I doubt anyone else will be able to either since you haven't told us which manufacturer/model of box you have. Can you please post this information?

If it's only the red light coming on and going off again, and it does nothing else, sounds like it's very probably dead and it needs replacing.
