PROBLEMS GETTING LOTUS NOTES CALENDAR REMINDERS ON SAMSUNG GEAR
My IT environment consists of a Windows 7 Laptop running Lotus Notes 8.5, a Samsung Note 3 and a Samsung Gear Watch. I run IBM Traveler on the Androids to access Lotus Notes.
My work environment is very sensitive to sounds and hence phones must be on vibrate; I also have frequent but irregular meetings that I must attend.
My primary reason for buying the Samsung Gear watch was to use it as an alert that I can see, feel and hear that I have an incoming call, an SMS message and most importantly, imminent appointments. The idea is that by setting an alarm for 15 minutes before each meeting I will be reminded wherever I am and without having to have the volume of my phone turned up or the phone itself out.
While the Samsung Note 3 and Gear work well together to notify me of phone calls and texts, because the Gear utilises the Note 3
