Android cannot find IP Adress

I have a D2-912 tablet. It usually connects automaticallly to my WIFI network without problems..
A few minutes ago, all of a sudden the connection refused to kick in. It says "signal strength GOOD ", " obtaining IP adress" and then " connecting" but it doesn't. In the end it says " poor Internet connection". I think it is because it cannot find the IP address. In fact, when I go to Settings, it shows a MAC address ( which, incidentally, is not the same of my desktop or should it?), but it says: IP adress : none found.
My regular desktop connection is fine. It connects via an adapter to the main computer where the router is installed. I tried retyping the WEP key in the Android device but still it does not work. At one point, while going through the settings, I was asked to reset the router, by pushing a button on it, which I did, with no results. What could have gone wrong all of a sudden?!

Thanks
