hi guys, I kinda lost my galaxy s2 yesterday, and I never tried any any security thing when the phone was with me, except for that pattern lock. And I went to my service provider, they switched the line and they told me i shuld go to a police department of communication with the IME of the phone. And when I checked my particulars for the phone, there wasn't any IME, except for different sort of numbers such as: safety,SAR,EMC AND RADIO. Please I need your help, guys. Which one serves as the IME. Here's my yahoo mail: kamalsabdulrashid@yahoo.com. thanks

Welcome to the AF, look around and enjoy. :beerglass:

Be sure to check out the sections dedicated to your Android device and your Carrier.

Also if you want to be able to connect to the Forums from your Android device, be sure to check out the free Phandroid app in the Google Play Market. Cheers!!!!

Sorry to hear about your phone, the Police won't do a damn thing, who is your phone carrier ?? Have you tried calling your phone to see if someone answers it, also make sure your Phone carrier shuts your Phone down from within their system, this will make the phone useless for someone else to activate it. Good Luck

Unfortunately, you needed your EMEI first, hopefully your carriers has the number stored, which they should

1.When you first buy the phone, press *#06#. According to the Cell Phone Tracking website, a 15-digit number will display across your screen. That is your IMEI number, or your International Mobile Equipment Identity, number.
2.Write this number down. Store it in a secret place. This number is only for you to know.
3.Utilize modern technology. The Cell Phone Tracking website suggests you install PhoneBak, a system that calls your phone automatically when an unauthorized individual is in possession of your phone.
4.Call your cell phone provider once you suspect someone has stolen your unit. Report it stolen, giving them the IMEI number. As the Cell Phone Tracking website points out, with this information the operator can block or track your cell phone.
