Android Clock always delayed in telling the time

Hi, my clock always gets delayed.... I always have to connect to the network or wifi to get a time update, it gets delayed 2 or 3 times a day... some times even after a time update it pushes back the time for 5 minutes more or less.

I'm thinking if I don't update 2 or more time a day, in a week my clock would be delayed by an hour or so.

why is this so? any solution to this?

my phone is an HTC Desire

do I check it or uncheck?
because right now its checked and it is delayed by 8 minutes and I just updated an hour ago.

I have the HTC Sense clock on widget, could this be connected?

I unchecked it... lets see what happens.

it should be checked to update from the servers........ if youre getting bad times and it is checked then its probably your reception......... do you have a good connection at all times?
