Android Development Studio is the perfect Linux Operating System for all your android development needs. It includes all the necessary tools to create and port ROMS, build and edit apps, and more! Build upon openSUSE 12.1 with free lifetime updates of software and new version being released every six months, Android Development Studio is the perfect OS for any developer. All the tools work out of the box. It also features a simple user interface powered by GNOME 3.

Android Development Studio is and always will be free of charge. If you wish to help out, but have no coding experience, donations would greatly help! Our team is not very large, and running consistent upgrades, bug reports etc. is very difficult to do without the proper tools! If you would like to aid in the development, and have expirience with KIWI, please contact us HERE.

We are now selling USB, DVD, and Desktops preloaded with Android Development Studio.

Sounds interesting. Do you recommend installing this alongside my current os, or can it be used in a vm?

I would recommend installing alongside your OS if you're developing ROMS. Apps can be created in a VM. You can download a VM ready image from the site on June 6th

Although this dosen't benefit me at all, since I am already up an running with linux and everything I need already setup, but I can see this as a GREAT resource for inexperienced devs who want to get up and running quickly. I do, however want to suggest that you also provide the android-ndk package out of hte box as well as it is becoming increasingly popular for game development these days.
