Apps Android development tutorials

Hi guys, I am interested to learn android development. I guess, having knowledge in J2ME will be an advantage for mobile app development. What are the other basic modules in android development. If you can share some tutorials or any other study materials, it would be really helpful for me. I have searched for some institutes which offer mobile app developer course in Toronto. The course will start by next month. So before that I like to make some basic idea about development. That is why I am asking for android tutorials.
