Android email apps

Have an android 4.1.1 device with some email apps such as Outlook, Google, etc. Have not found a way to read email without a Wifi connecton. This phone has no cellular contract. If there is no way to keep email content offline is there a way to make the text of an email a document that can be kept on the device for later reading? Guidance sought.

Login to your email using a browser instead of the apps. Works all the time. If you can't get online with the phone, you'll never be able to read any emails anyways. If you are able to get online, you can long-press on the text, so it's highlighted, copy, and paste the text into a word document using any document app.

In fact, we can use any email apps, which can fetch emails from mail server via POP method, to read email without a Wifi connection. You can check and fetch emails in your inbox of mail server when your device is online. And then you can read them offline.

You can do the same via IMAP. I don't use the GMail or Outlook apps, so cannot comment on those (though back in 2010 GMail did only work online with IMAP - that was the last time I used it). But AquaMail, K9, MailDroid, etc all do this just fine.
