Help Android email Issues - No Syncing, No Junk Folder

I have a spanking new Samsung Edge that I got to replace my iPhone 6. I have a POP mail account - GoDaddy actually - that worked great on the iPhone. It set up in a snap on android but have searched all over these forums for how to fix these problems - very annoying:

1) Does not sync with my desktop. Deleted emails stay in the android inbox until deleted there

2) I cannot find a way to add my Junk folder. Good emails occasionally end up there and no solution mentioned here works

3) Everytime I read email, it flags previously read emails from months ago as unread. So I look at my phone and see 20 new emails and go in to see they are old. I have to manually flag them as read.

Running the latest Marshmellow from Dec 9 2016 upgrade.
Any help appreciated - ready to go back to Apple.

1. That's expected. That's how POP is supposed to work. It creates a copy of the email on every device that you have to delete individually. IMAP is the one that syncs to the server for every deletion. If you want to have it sync, you need to set it to IMAP or use an email app that refreshes every now and then to check if you deleted on the server so it auto deletes it on the phone too.

2. Depends on what email app you use. So far on all my accounts, the stock email app automatically added all my folders.

3. Again depends on what email app you use if you're having bugs.

I am using the default Samsung android mail app that comes up by default when u start it up. Its configured to sync every 15 min which should delete anything in the inbox that's not in the inbox on the server. Those server deleted emails just sit in the android inbox for (possibly) forever - but I manually delete after a couple of days so don't know if it would ever happen.

I recommend you download high rating email app from play store instead , and then check if it works fine or not.

As I understand POP, the sync is only retrieving, not a 2 way sync. Have you checked settings if there are additional options? Or you could try a different app. I don't have a POP email anymore to test.

I would have thought Godaddy email would support IMAP, and in fact that's probably what the iPhone email client was using, if it synced OK.

I've not used POP email in a very long time now.
