Android File Transfer Working

i tried every conceivable option trying to get AFT to work on my
Mac and never did so i gave up. last wk i rooted the phone mainly
for the wifi hotspot and now AFT works like a charm. automatically
opens when i connect to usb.

go figure ?

i was under the impression that once its rooted it becomes a "mass storage device" so it should even show up in Finder without needing AFT

did you update to JB? I found that once I updated to JB that AFT started working on my mac (it wasn't working before)

it does not mount as a drive and not seen in finder OSX 10.8.2

stock 4.0.4 I747 AT&T

thanks, i guess i was misinformed, but its good to know rooting will let you use AFT

it works just as good as a mounted drive ! drag and drop
anything.
