Help Android Firefox Download

Lurker
Am stumped. Have searched for answer. Help please.

How does one use Firefox for Android to download a file? I know I know... I must be kidding. Am not. I am trying to download a simple URL that links directly to an .mp3 Am able to use Silk Browser and it downloads no prob.

I press and hold and get the popup menu, choose Share, it let's me select ESFile manager, let's me select the folder to use, then.... nothing. I am scratching my head trying to figure out how to start the download. Should be a no brainer but my brains are scrambled.

Anyone help? tx

I don't use Firefox (Chrome user), but is there no save link in the options when long pressing the url? Have you tried scrolling through the options?

I would have thought it would just be automatically. Perhaps go into your app settings and reset defaults in case on clicking the url it is trying to do something else?

Can you provide the link for that particular mp3? Odd that it's accessible that way for one browser but not another. I'd like to do a test just to see what's going on.
