Android flytouch 2 HDMI query

Hi all

I have just bought the Android 2.1 flytouch 2. Although I understand gadgets and have worked out most of the functions on this tablet - I am not with it on the really tech stuff.

I was having trouble getting films to play on my plasma. I have been told to plug everthing in, play the video & then press menu on the Android.

I have done this, but the menu does not appear. Is it either because my adaptor is not working or do I have plug everthing in then power up the unit and start the video, rather then have it switched on and working.

Getting really frustrated with it now..........

Also in leymans terms, how do I back up everything. When I updated it yesterday - I lost all the stuff I downloaded on it.

The Flytouch is one of many Chinese knockoff tablets. Sadly there is not a lot of available documentation on how to make specific functions work on these devices.

Hi the actual make is
<H1 style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">10" EPAD ANDROID 2.1 TABLET PC FLYTOUCH GPS TOUCH UK, I thought they were quite a well know make. As seen on lots of forums, just nothing about the hdmi cable.



Any help gratefully received.
