Help Android Galaxy s7/s7 active help

My galaxy s7 active , which is supposed to have a great battery life, has recently in the past week just beenough draining battery and I believe that Android OS is what's causing it. In 30 minutes, my phone has gone from 100 to 93$, I've sent like two text messages and the rest of the time it was closed. It's getting hot in my pocket for no reason as well. Please help, thank you.

Do you have a lot of apps running in the background? Facebook is a big red flag, Instagram also. What phone? What version of Android?

Brand new batteries usually reach their best performance after a couple of charging cycles. It means using your phone unless the battery has about 15%, shut the phone off and charge it until full.

Not that I know of, and I have a galaxy s7 active with the newest version of Android
