Android + Google Maps + "Work"

Hey everyone

So i used to have a notification pop-up each morning, before i left for work, telling me how long it would take and what traffic I could expect. This was super helpful, as I could always change which route I took. I recently had to reset my phone because reasons.... Now I don't seem to have this feature any more, despite having set "work" in google maps to where I go each day. I don't recall ever setting this function up when I originally got my phone, so any helpful pointers here would be really appreciated.

I'm using the Asus Padfon2 on Android version 4.1.1

That is / was Google Now cards. It's a feature that learns from your usage. It's understandable that resetting your phone would temporarily make it unavailable as it needs to learn your routines again.

PS. I moved this to the Android News & Talk forum where folks discuss general Android topics.:)

Massive thank you to replying, I tracked down the app and I'm stuck again. All it shows is "sample cards", when i go to "my places" it shows just a blank page. There seems to be no option to add a place for my home or where I work!

Do what I do. Set up your work schedule in Google Calendar with the address listed.

It always tells you when to leave for a calendar appointment.

Indeed seeing up a schedule does work. For instance I have to be at work for 8am every weekday morning, and I put a nominal 6pm for picking up my kids from either my mother in laws or my sister's on any given weekday. Then I have various places I have to be during the week at a certain time. Works fine and is very intuative.

Google now is really good in informing me of ETA'S and routes.
