android hardware fragmentation

His only post here.

In other words - his first post ever.

And - while many disagreed, many agreed with his point, and others gave it food for thought.

Carrier1 - welcome to the forums!

It's a bit of a mental gear change when going from one phone to another with Android - we have that at my house - but the functionality is standardized, and many of us learn to just deal with it - but it would be easier if we didn't have the issue.

As IOWA said,

Actually as someone who switches between several android devices it would be nice if the hard ware buttons were all the same.

they cant even get the buttons in the same place

lol, this post is funny.
Look at the streak!

And if they were all the same, it would be boring!
What if everyone were white, or black, or bald!

BORING!

I mean... really. Why are companies still throwing out 'new' android phones using 2-3 year old tech?

Trueeee...but its very popular.
I thing android might be wierd without them...

What if they took the "single button" off the iphone.
Wouldnt be an iphone.

So does TV controllers and the dashboards of every car. Does that stop you from using them?

I think you are arguing that every car sold in this world has to be exactly alike.

Henry Ford had the same dream with his Model T. GM with its "fragmented" model line of Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, Pontiac and all sorts of different models, nearly spanked Ford to near oblivion.
