Android has # 1 Smartphone OS

It aint necessarily that Jobs was wrong, but if he felt it was necessary to do that, I dont see whats wrong with others doing it now for Android. And he cant do nothing but laugh at the de ja vue...I would.

Explain whats wrong with the OP Alieno. And if its the "many different makes of phones and on many different carrier" argument....please explain why it was fine for the iPhone to outsell Winmo phones....that were "many different makes of phones and on many different carrier" I'm sure iPhone Fans gloated like crazy over that....

Right now, Android is doing something WinMo is failing to do right now. Thats news considering how long WinMo has been out.

Something made me switch from WinMo. I'm sure other that switched had reasons too. Or if this is ppl's first smartphone, those that chose Android over WinMo did for a reason.

.....give Android credit where credit is due.....

I also say its hardware related too. Cuz no matter how good the OS is, if the hardware sucks asscrack, it doesnt matter.

This is confirmed by the Palm Pre/Pixi and Pre/Pixi Plus. WebOS is absolutely amazing but plagued by shitty hardware.

[FONT=&quot]News broke on Monday that Android smartphones are staring to kick the sh*t out of RIM and Apple with new buyers.
According to a Nielsen report, in 2010 Android-based phones accounted for 27% of the overall smartphone sales in the United States compared to iPhone sales that only accounted for 23%. And that includes the iPhone4

Who am I to point out that the OP is incorrect and misleading? I'm certainly not steve jobs, thats who.

Are you honestly trying to make the argument that "well of he did it, then we can do it"? You may subscribe to the two wrongs make a right ideology, but I do not. Steve jobs is an arrogant buffoon who doesn't matter to me and I couldnt care less what he says, AND that still doesnt change the fact that the OP is misleading and insinuating something that is incorrect.

How is the OP wrong and Misleading?

PC vs Mac - Apple only sells OSX on Mac devices, yet pure market share of the platforms are compared all the time.

Android vs iOs - Same thing.

I like how it's ok when Apple was at the top to compare them to all other platforms, but it's not ok to do the same when the tables finally turned(as we all knew it would), and now it just sounds like all the Apple fans are sour about it and try to (unsuccessfully) change the subject and make the argument about something it never has been before.

The fact that Apple made these comparisons less than a year ago, makes it relevant, but if we make those very same comparisons, it is misleading. How so?

Sour grapes is all. Sour grapes.

If Apple doesn't want to put iOs on multiple phone handsets, it's their problem, not ours, and they shouldn't have opened that can of worms in the first place. We all knew they were going to lose.

Its not a fair or accurate comparison because ios isnt offered on multiple devices and networks.

So you're saying that if there were a situation in the summer olympics where one country only competed in the long jump and high jump, it doesn't count when they lose in the overall medal count? It's their choice to not branch out!
