My android htc started to go into dock mode yesterday, last night it did not charge and now it won't turn on.

Check the charging socket: if it's going into "dock mode" without being plugged in then there may be something in the socket that's shorting a contact out. And if it won't charge then that could be related (some dirt covering the charging pin).
