Hi, i have been developping in android for a couple of month now, i just finished an application called SmsReader obviously reads sms vocally. I am looking for new project ideas, feel free to post any idea or send me PM. Thanks.

An application that recognizes sounds and instruments on a song. You'll be rich if you did that... and appear on CNN ha :p

Hmm. Good for blind people, but I don't know why a blind person would want an android. Not sure what the point would be, but i think it would work a bit like Google translate app, they offer voice translations. It would need to recognize all the lame ways people misspell things.

I just really want to learn the unique sounds of instruments and sounds that on songs i cant recognize. Knowing this helps me make new sounds never made before...

Voice to text technology , hmm good idea would be great to add a voice to text option in my SmsReader app so it can reply the sender with sms text from the user's voice, but don't forget i am just one person haha :D

It's already possible to compose messages with voice only, many keyboards/input methods feature speech-to-text.

Navigating the menus to initiate a reply still has to be manual afaik.

I am still looking for the API to use in speech to text case, do you have any idea about that? i would be greatful if you could help.

An app that will read our Troopmaster application. MANY MANY MANY Scout troops use troopmaster to manage their Advancement and such. But they want 5.00 a month for a pretty featureless mobile app.

There are many apps that tell the level of the tide eg. tideApp

but one thing -ALL- of these apps are missing is the ability to search (eg. by tide height).
There are many cool things to see on the beaches when the tide is abnormally low (eg. less than 1 ft) but as it is I have flip through the days manually, sometimes through 60-90 days worth before finding an unusually low tide.

I would be very thankful if someone could create a search feature for a tide app :)
