Android in Virtual box

I managed to install Android in Virtual Box. But now I am running into some snags.

1. Some Apps come in portrait mode and I do not know how to switch them to landscape mode

2. The browsers have some (looks like Japanese) advertisement on the bottom. Every time that changes (and it changes quickly), I lose the browser. Is there some way to block those ads.

3. I wanted to access a webpage but got the message that I needed some Java facility

But when I wanted to download it, I got this message

How can I download the requested service.

Any help to resolve the above would be appreciated.
