android keyboard, wtf!!

dont know how i changed to this android kayboard but its now black & doesnt let me use swype... it sucks cuz it keeps plugging in words that are really off. i pocketed the phone one day, & when i tried using it, keyboard was black & doesnt have swyp, i was just getting us to it!! i want my swype back!! please help. i went to the setting & "keyboard" but it doesn't have where i change the keyboard

Welcome. Almost any issue you have is searchable. I've only been here a little over a month and the people here are super smart and have a "fix" for anything. Any question you have has most likely been asked and answered numerous times.

Here is what you do, act as though you're going to post a new text or email message. In the text input area, the area where you're type (you'll see something like compose note or message), do a long hold. A pop up box will appear. Click the words input method. You then chose "Swype" or "touch Input".

your a genious!!!problem fixed \thread!!! i been lurking for a month & figured the whole rooting & all the other good stuff but couldn't seem to get this fixed...go figure... appreciated!!

also .. since you are rooted..
next time you have an issue..
