Help Android locked at logo screen, hard reset won't work

Angela511

Lurker
Android has been stuck on logo screen for over 24 hours. I've tried factory reset, hard reset and fast boot. None of these work. It just goes back to the logo screen. Can't figure out how to remove the battery. It's not my phone. It belongs to an employee. Please help. Is there a way to reload the software?

How you reflash the software depends on what model of phone it is (possibly also whether it's carrier-branded software, which software version).

If it's not a rooted device and the factory reset hasn't fixed it it suggests that either the non-user-modifiable system software has nevertheless been corrupted somehow or that there is a hardware failure. If it's the latter then reflashing the software won't help, but if it's the former then there's a good chance. But this stuff will depend on the phone, so we'll need more information before we can help.

Check for dialer codes to the particular model..from the hidden menu you can do individual hardware tests to determine if hardware or software is the issue...software, flash if its hardware time to go shopping

Thank you all for the help. I finally figured out how to remove the battery to get it powered off. Now it won't power on at all, so I suspect it is a hardware issue. Time to upgrade. :) Thank you.
