Android, Mac Mail , iCloud

Hi, have a mac and use iCloud mail on my mac as well as my android. Here is my problem.

When i get a new mail into my android, and if its junk, i swipe to delete.... all good so far.

BUTTT, when i go to my mac mail, its in the "trash" (still all good) BUTT, on my mac its not marked as READ so its deceiving bc my mac mail icon may have the # 5 on it indicating 5 new messages, but 3 of then can be messaged deleted from my android just still marked as unread on my mac...

there are no mac mail rules i can write so is there any thing i can do on my GS5

haven't used a mac in 10 years, not since my G4 laptop quit working.

However, it would seem to me that if on the S5, if you would purge everything in the Trash, it should be gone regardless of how you log into your email.

I would get Mailbox from the google play store for your iCloud mail
